Bulk Rock Mulch

Rock mulch helps to shade the soil and keep it cool. It also helps keep weeds in control without applying pesticides.

Rock mulch adds no organic matter to the soil once applied to the soil surface. As organic matter "dissolves" into the soil, soil spaces collapse leaving little space for plant roots to "breathe". Some plants begin to yellow in three to five years after planting and covering the soil using rock mulch. Correct this problem by adding compost on top of the rock mulch and watering it in with a hose. We hope you will use Viragrow compost because it is the best compost in southern Nevada!
